How do I learn "practical" hands-on repairs if I'm an Online student?

By using our simple step-by-step walk-throughs!

Our programs are designed for learning in bits and pieces which we call "micro-steps" this allows you to learn very detailed topics and tasks in digestible pieces, at your own pace, very rapidly.  Which also allows you to go back through the topics as many times as you want or need.

There two main skills types we teach in our program:

  • Background knowledge, theory and "soft skills" which are skills that continue to evolve, adapt and change
  • Hard skills such as specific repair techniques on specific devices.  This is similar to riding a bicycle in as once you master them, you don't really need to keep learning as it's mostly reinforcement.

Both skill types are delivered in easy to follow, step by step detail and instruction in the bit-sized pieces.

The way we deliver those skills are done in four (4) main pillars:

  1. On-Demand:  These are pre-recorded lessons that can be taken On-Demand, whenever the time is best for you as a student and are broken down into 7-12 minute sessions to make them easy to consume.
  2. Live Virtual:  These are live virtual sessions that are delivered in our platform on a continuing basis on various topics to reinforce lessons, learn new skills and keep up to speed on what opportunities or challenges we're seeing in the industry.
  3. Challenges (Action Items):  These are tasks that must be completed at various times during the training program to reinforce skills, techniques and tactics.  (Kind of like homework assignments that you do own your own but are reviewed by our instructors)
  4. Community:  Our forums allow you to connect with our staff as well as students around the globe to learn and share with others what's working and just as importantly, what's not working.

The best way to learn the "practical" hands-on if you're not attending campus is to simply follow along with the detailed tear-down videos, we call them "labs."  You will use devices that you supply.
